Project 52 - #4
I posted about the winter provisioning earlier in the season, courtesy of my husband, but didn't have the photographic evidence to prove it. As you can see, the Kozy Shack supplies continue to be replenished, lest we find ourselves housebound in yet another winter storm. Man cannot live by Kozy Shack alone however. And so, we also have The Old Plum Brandy and Heinekens. The brandy supply should hold out 'til summer, having consumed most of our average annual allotment during the holidays. In Croatia, however, they drink this for breakfast every morning, alongside a demitasse of pleasantly thick coffee, supplemented with two or three tablespoons of sugar.

I was with you all the way until the sugar.
Yeah, I know what you mean. I don't like sugar in my coffee (unless it's a Pumpkin Spice Skinny Latte at Starbucks), but over there, it's more like asking for a little coffee to pour over your sugar...gag! ;-)
rice pudding? Oh, I'd rather eat Elmers Glue. (that stuff is nasty!!)
I love Elmers. ;-)
Oh! Oh! My lips, they quiver. My mouth, it waters. My hands, they fumble/stumble. How far away is that fridgefromDelaware, again?
What's that Dutch interloper doing there cozying up to Ms.Cozy and Mr. Slivovitz?
I think I understand. The coffee's so thick in Croatia that they have to thin it with brandy?
Gwynne ~ Looks like you take those long COOL ones seriuosly? ~ jb///
i wanna see the rest of your fridge
Darko, the Dutch interloper was a mere substitute for the real pivo. If you can tell me where I might find the grand, dark, rich Tomislav Pivo, I'll send you a whole case of the Kozy Shacks. ;-)
Yes, Foo, I believe that is the way it works...the thick coffee, with or without sugar, would send most people into cardiac arrest. The brandy helps to keep the blood pressure under control. Something like that. It's a balancing act.
LZ, not too seriously, but I doubt we would have stayed long in that ghost town you wrote about. ;-)
Badoozie, I don't think so. ;-)
Elmer's makes rice pudding? I'm getting some!
