Blogroll Additions
Please allow me to introduce two new blogs on my roll, Foo, at Random Synaptic Misfire and Susiebadoozie, at My Gobhole. These folks meet the high standard (of making me laugh out loud) that I require in a blog, making them Intrinsically Worthwhile. If you have not already visited them, then drop in and say "Hi." Susie might even send you stuff. ;-)Oh, and Foo lists Monty Python and the Holy Grail among his Favorite Movies, which makes him a very Good Guy. ;-) And if he ever visits here again, I hope he will go see my photo of Mr. Spamalot. This will earn me Big Bonus Points in his book, I'm sure. ;-)

THANKS
you're too nice to me. and i think i will send you something special. i have an earwax removal kit with your name on it! not that you need it, thats not what i'm saying at all. no, your husband did not complain.
duly visited :)
That's so cool that you got to brush elbows with Eric Idle. Or, at least, breathe the same air for a bit. My special moment was when I got to meet Douglas Adams and briefly speak with him before some boor elbowed her way past and into his face.
But not before he autographed my leather-bound copy of the Complete Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I also got to meet Neil Gaiman (Sandman, Good Omens, Mirror Mask) once, and while his work is arguably darker than Adams', he's a real hoot in person and quite approachable.
Susie, huh? What? Did you say you are still looking for that Travel Scrabble game I asked for? ;-) Thanks for coming back!
Rachel, you're alive! You saw that Eric alerted us you might be in danger yesterday. But last night I saw the news reports that indicated "tsunami" seas only got to about 19 inches(?). A relief!
Foo! I'm glad you came back too. Yes, it was cool to breathe the air of Eric Idle, and that you brushed elbows with Douglas Adams. Stupid boors. Most important is the autograph though, right? We had just been to Spamalot the night before (there's a review of it in my archives somewhere) and had no idea Eric (and John du Prez, the musical genius behind Spamalot) would be at the bookstore the next day (at the very moment we would decide to be at the bookstore). Serendipity! :-)
Ooh, but I lose Big Bonus Points by not recognizing Neil Gaiman's name or works. There's something about British humor that can be dark and offensive and yet still, well, hilarious. ;-)
