Low-Ranking Nerd

Not sure what this does for me, or why I bothered to take this quiz, but now that I've done so, here you go, more blog fodder for the masses:

I am nerdier than 65% of all people. Are you nerdier? Click here to find out!

This is not a surprising result. Is this something like a low-grade fever? According to the report, I am "low on the totem pole of nerds." If Napoleon Dynamite had a sister, I might have been that girl. In fact, Napoleon reminds me of my own brother (in the olden days, of course). Oh, I'm in some trouble now. 8-}

Via Jim, whose score appears a bit low to me. He must have copied off of someone else's paper. ;-)

Yes, since we've actually met, it is readily apparent to you that my nerd score is much too low to be accurate.

... And vice versa :-p

This test is, well, incorrect would be a mild way of putting it.
I only have 5 pcs/macs in the house, 2 of which are used to cannibalize parts.
I use DSL, rather than T1 lines for Internet connections.
I don't know Bill Gates' or Andy Groves' personal hone numbers. Hell, I don't even have their e-mail addresses.
If you start to talk to me about servers, I get hungry. For food.
I only have one screen on for any pc/Mac that I'm using.
The only thing I know about Linux is that it has something to do with penguins. Or, is it just one penguin?

O.K. with all that laid out for you. Wait, wait. I do not work in IT. Never have. Never would be able to. It's a medical condition thing.

So, with all that info, how would you explain my scoring a Nerd God (their descriptive!) score of 97. Next thing you know, I'll be getting beamed up.

Jim, it takes one to know one (and that's a compliment of the highest order). ;-)

Darko, you recognized Mr. Maxwell's and Sir Newton's pictures, didn't you? And just because they asked if you could name all the elements in the Periodic Table didn't mean you actually had to do it. I bow to your nerdliness. ;-)

You recognized Maxwell? That's who that was? Hah! You're outed, nerd-chick!

I thought Maxwell was the guy from the Beatles song, you know, with the silver hammer.

Hey, I only guessed (but I went and looked him up afterwords and sure enuf, that's him)!

Now see? If they had asked any questions about music, both you and Darko would have gone off the charts. ;-)

Gwynne,
If there were any music questions (well,a slong as there were no questions about techno0music), I believe my score would have gone down (speaking of Going Down..a great guitar-fueled song by the Jeff Beck Group, with the excellent Max Middleton' on piano. The song has to do with being in a funk, not....).

I've got to re-take that test and "correct" my initial result. I don't now nor never have ever plaeyd video games. I swear. How can a person score above 10 on this test if they don't engage in nor are ever tempted to engage in video games?

Not even Pong? C'mon now, honestly? ;-)

And if there is such a thing as a Music Nerd, then your score would have been off the charts. Just sayin.
