This just in, via e-mail...one of a series of pictures depicting a very large and imposing dog behaving in a most gentle and maternal manner. Still, I'm glad it's not my child.
ick people act like dogs are people who can reason, and make good, wise appropriate choices, instead of suddenly resorting back to being a dog and instinctively chomping that kids head off. sorry, but people are DU"MB
Yeah, I found this picture cute and disturbing at the same time. We pray no harm came to this baby in the taking of the series of photos. But it reminds me of a true story from Sequoia Nat'l Park in CA about a mother who put her baby on the back of a BEAR in order to take a "cute" picture (afterall, the bears were eating out of the dumpsters right there in the parking lot...how vicious could they be, right? never mind that the bear was obviously HUNGRY!). I probably need not say how that story ended. Very, very sad.
See and I was going to make light and say you could just make out the baby saying, "Help! Help! I'm being repressed!" But maybe that's in poor taste (and I don't want to sully my reputation as a well bred lady, you know.) :)
But yeah, people can be dumb with kids and animals - same as the bear story but with an alligator in Florida. Turned out just as badly.

And welcome, Mrs. Diamond! Thanks for stopping by. :-)
Beth, you know I'm always more interested in the humorous angle...it's safe to say those things here. And well, now you've said it. ;-)
All I'm sayin' is that dog looks hungry.
That's what I was thinking. This does not look like a good situation, does it?
Oh, you're funny! And probably right. I'll bet the papparazzi caught this photo. ;-)
