Stayin' Alive

No, this isn't another "Near Death" post. It seems my morning commute is now in sync with the Bee Gees (BeeGees? Bee Gee's? BeeGee's? BG's?) tune by the same name. Three, THREE, days in a row now!

God, is this your idea of encouragement?

Guess it's time to buy a transmitter for my ipod. *sigh*

See now, I think maybe what it is is that you need a new radio station. That other band (who shall remain nameless) is one thing, but the BeeGees?

That said, I really like the transmitter for my iPod. :)

Yeah, the BeeGees...gak!

The thing is, we really don't have many good radio stations in this area. It's either country, or pop (which means rap), or talk radio and NPR which are usually my preference but these days I just want "easy listening."

That said, I need advice on a transmitter...what kind do you have?

We have a Griffin FM transmitter/charger that we got at Best Buy(rather than a cassette adapter - though that was what was recommended as better by all my friends, we tried two and neither would work in either of our car's tape players. So if you have a tape player in your car, try that first as I'm told the quality is better. Just keep the receipt.)

So far we've been pleased though occasionally we have to choose a different frequency in the middle of the drive because there are too many stations clogging up the airwaves around here.

I've looked at the Griffin w/ charger and was leaning towards that. Thanks!

Oh! You're just cruel, Brooklyn! You and Jim need to get together and discuss your worshiping habits. ;-)

Abba does indeed rule.

The Bee Gees, however. That's enough to make you shoot the radio. I still wonder how they managed to sell so many records... nobody admits to liking them.

Finally, something we can all agree on. ;-)

...nobody admits to liking them.

I think the key word is "admits." I will admit to liking them in 8th grade. But then, I will admit to a lot of things in 8th grade that are abhorrent to me now. ;-)

I had one of those Griffin iTrip things for mine, and I returned it. I could never get a clear signal. The dial is pretty full around here, though, so that might have been my problem.

Brian - we end up switching channels a lot on our drive in to work cause our dial is pretty full also. But since none of the tape deck ones would work in our cars we were kinda stuck.
