Bah! Eric and Jim, you are such cynics. Look at that face. Again. He knows no evil. He would not hide your house slippers. Tear them to shreds, maybe, but not hide them. ;-)
Ellen, dogs know guilt, don't they? If a cat had done something wrong, it would accuse you of "starting it."
Emma, there's clearly a difference of opinion here, between the men and the women. I think LZ is onto something. Men know this look is contrived, but women are suckered by it. ;-)

Yep, I'm with Eric. That ain't sorry.
Ohhh...I can't even imagine what he did...oh wait. Yes I can - I had a dog and once in a while we'd come home and he'd crate himself...

I'm just a big softie - that pup is cute!
Eddie Haskell's come back. A contrite look, a paw offered as solace, you leave the room, well....it's time to start chewing on that chair leg...
I've actually seen this look on ME! (Only I'm NOT that cute!) ~ jb///
THAT is the cutest thing I have ever seen!!! OOOOHHHH.
Eddie Haskell? LOL :-)

Gwynne: knowing that, I shall now endeavor to perfect my own use of "the look". God knows I could use it.
